Sydecar
I serve on the board of Sydecar, which builds infrastructure for private-market dealmakers and investors.
Visit SydecarI’m the co-founder and CEO of TrueML. I’ve worked in machine learning and financial services since 2005.
I started at FraudSciences, where I led fraud analytics for high-risk ecommerce payments. PayPal acquired the company in 2008. I stayed to run risk for new products including digital goods, mobile payments, gaming and PayPalX.
In 2010 I helped start Signifyd and Analyzd. Signifyd focused on ecommerce fraud. Analyzd focused on consumer credit. Klarna acquired Analyzd in 2011, and I became its Chief Risk Officer, responsible for decisions across several billion dollars of annual payment volume.
In 2013, after a frustrating experience with an overdue bill, my brother Nadav and I started TrueAccord. Today I run TrueML, which includes TrueAccord and Retain. We use machine learning to decide how and when to communicate with consumers about debt.
Outside TrueML, I serve on the board of Sydecar and chair the board of the British International School of Stockholm. I occasionally invest in restaurants. I’m also interested in education, life sciences, hospitality and dining.
The roles differ, but the work usually comes down to making better decisions with incomplete information.
